Music

Students who study music are 52% more likely to go on to College. On average, they score 98 points higher on SAT scores than non-music students. Students at McKay attend music class for 45 minutes, once every three school days.

During their time here between Kindergarten and 5th grade, students will sing, dance, and play all sorts of rhythm instruments along with recorders, xylophones, violins, guitars and others. We learn to read rhythm, to play & sing in parts, to sing in other languages and students are exposed to a varied repertoire of music.
